Rose Day 2023: The most romantic time of the year is upon us. Valentine’s Week is just a couple of days away and we can’t stay calm yet. It is that time of year that the world is painted red with the colors of love. People with a love affair and discovered their soul mate, enjoy this day in love with their beloved partner and vow to stay forever together. Valentine’s Week teaches us the value of love and how love is able to conquer the odds. It’s not just about the affection we feel for our loved ones. It is a celebration of love of every kind and shows that in a world that is awash in hate, all we need is a little affection to make a difference for the good.
Rose Day, every year is observed on the 7th of February. on this day people decorate their town by using the color the rose which symbolizes passion and love. It is customary to gift roses to those they love and express their love in the eyes of all. It isn’t necessary to give an exclusive rose to the person you love. It is also possible to gift the rose to parents or an acquaintance, who we love with all our hearts. We must also be self-loveful by purchasing flowers, or roses of our own choice.
History:
The custom of giving roses as gifts were introduced by Victorians to show their affection for one another. Since since then, Rose Day celebrates the gesture of love by giving each other roses.
Significance:
Red roses can be an obvious winner for a special occasion, there are many other roses that are a gift to loved ones. The yellow rose signifies friendship and joy at new beginnings. Likewise, white roses represent innocence and the purity of life. The orange rose, however, can be used to show love, and the pink rose signifies appreciation and gratitude.
